Dementia Diagnosis and Care Survey Study

The purpose of this study is to learn about people's experiences with health care and what it was like around the time of a dementia diagnosis. We are interested in what stood out to you: what helped, what didn't, and what you wish had been different. Your perspective will help improve care, communication, and support for others affected by dementia.

If you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete an anonymous online survey that takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. The survey includes questions about your understanding of dementia, your experiences with health care providers, and your reflections on the time of diagnosis.

About us

At Expose Dementia, we harness the transformative power of the arts and media to raise awareness, foster empathy, and advocate for individuals and families affected by dementia, especially in the African American community. Through innovative storytelling, creative expression, and community engagement, we strive to educate, break down barriers, reduce stigma, increase early detection and treatment, improve the quality of life for those living with dementia, and empower individuals caring for others with dementia.

Embracing the Vision

Our vision at Expose Dementia is to create a world where dementia is met with understanding, compassion, and support, both in the African American community and the community at large. By leveraging the dynamic platforms of media and arts, we envision a future where every individual affected by dementia is seen, heard, and valued, and where communities come together to provide holistic care, resources, and opportunities for growth and connection.
